James Wiebe has been developing products for over 40 years, starting in college where he developed a computer product and sold it for a profit. Next came Newer Technology, selling 200,000 Macintosh accelerator cards while competing against Apple. The next company was WiebeTech. “We listened to the customer and changed the world of computer forensic investigations.” Next came Belite and Chipper Aerospace which was destroyed by a business ending fire in 2019.
Now James Wiebe is back with a reinvigorated RADIANT TECHNOLOGY that sells innovative, lightweight and affordable aviation and outdoor products that "empower adventure."

Deicing Module for Turbine Aircraft
One of the most interesting projects which James has worked on recently is a deicing module for turbine aircraft. This module is capable of knocking ice off the leading edges of aircraft. It works by supplying one million watts of power for a few microseconds... the resulting electromagnetic pulse is really powerful.

Airborne Logging Data Recorder
Another interesting project was an airborne logging data recorder, where James was responsible for designing an incredibly lightweight battery-powered module. Capable of recording data for over two hours, the module captured basic information such as speed, altitude, direction of flight, attitude, and so forth. James was responsible for everything from electronic hardware through microprocessor design and mechanical design. The project was finished completely as quoted and on budget; the final customer was the US Air Force.
